American Bar Association President Appoints Pitt Law Alumna Penina K. Lieber To ABA Commission On Youth At Risk

Pitt Law alumna Penina K. Lieber, a partner at Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, has been appointed by the President of the American Bar Association to serve on the ABA Commission on Youth at Risk. The Commission addresses critical issues relating to foster care, the use of psychotropic drugs for young people, life sentences without parole for juveniles, domestic violence and sexual abuse and human trafficking concerns. It presents national programs and develops policy.

Prior to serving on the Commission, Lieber served two terms as Chair of the ABA Commission on Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTA), which acts as the clearing house for all U.S. and Canadian IOLTA programs. 

At Dinsmore & Shohl, Lieber concentrates her practice on nonprofit and tax-exempt law. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and has just completed her tenure as President of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI).
