Pennsylvania Cable Network To Livestream PA Supreme Court Second Founding Event With Dean Carter On PCN Select


UPDATE: This evening May 17 at 8:30 p.m. the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) will broadcast the Dean’s Second Founding talk "Slavery, the Civil War, and Reconstruction" (check local cable listings for PCN's channel designation).

Pitt Law Dean William M. Carter, Jr. will present the Second Founding program at the Pennsylvania Supreme Court May 16, 2016 at 6 p.m. The Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) will broadcast the event live on PCN Select (subscription required).

The special lecture hosted by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Commission on Judicial Independence and the Pennsylvania Bar Association is in celebration of the 150th Anniversary of our nation’s Second Founding. Dean Carter is an expert on the Reconstruction Amendments to the United States Constitution. These amendments (13, 14 and 15) were adopted in the wake of the Civil War and are known as the Second Founding.
