Pitt Law Alum Mark Faccenda Promoted to Partner at Norton Rose Fulbright

Mark Faccenda, JD ’95, is among 14 lawyers nationally promoted to partner at Fulbright & Jaworski LLP—a member of the global Norton Rose Fulbright—effective January 1. Part of the health care transactional group, Faccenda practices in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.

Faccenda centers his practice on health care services matters, pharmaceutical and medical device disputes, and clinical integration initiatives. He has represented health care industry clients, including pharmaceutical manufacturers, academic medical centers, health systems, and physician groups, on regulatory and transactional matters.

Previously, Faccenda worked for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Legislative Office for Research Liaison, where he conducted economic and health care regulatory research in support of prospective legislation. He also worked for payer and provider sides of an integrated health system where he drafted corporate policies and provided legal research focusing on HIPAA, ERISA, EMTALA, same-sex benefit coverage and the Peer Review Protection Act.

Faccenda has authored or coauthored numerous articles and publications and presents on issues related to health care regulations and compliance. He earned a JD from Pitt Law and Master of Health Administration from Pitt’s Graduate School of Public Health. He has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Penn State University.
