Pitt Law National Moot Court Team Advances to Semi-Finals

The University of Pittsburgh School of Law and the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law co-hosted this year’s regionals of the National Moot Court Competition on Sat., Nov. 13 through Sun., Nov. 14. The year’s competition, sponsored by the New York City Bar and the American College of Trial Lawyers, was held virtually, and featured competing teams from Pitt Law, the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, Georgetown University Law Center, Penn State Law, Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, American University Washington College of Law and The George Washington University Law School. This year’s team from Pitt Law comprised of 3Ls Trisha Klan (JD '22) and Jaden Rankin-Wahlers (JD '22) and 2L Shelby Bennett (JD '23). The team made a strong and resilient effort and were seeded among the four teams who advanced to the Sunday morning semi-finals but were eventually eliminated by the team from Penn Law.
