Biography

Richard Thorpe is a corporate and transactional attorney with over 20 years of experience in representing a wide range of private and publicly held clients.  While the principal focus of his practice is mergers and acquisitions, his transactional experience has also included private equity and venture capital investments, tender offers, joint ventures, and equity and debt securities offerings, as well as general corporate advice to directors, management and investors.  He began his practice as an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York in 1997, and then practiced at K&L Gates in Pittsburgh from 2000 to 2015, first as an associate and then as a partner.
