Moshe Marvit


Moshe Z. Marvit has been an Attorney-Advisor (law clerk) for four ALJs in the Pittsburgh FMSHRC office since 2012, where he researches and writes decisions, conducts mediations, and drafts settlements.  Marvit also has a concurrent appointment as a fellow at the New York based think tank, The Century Foundation, where he specializes in labor and employment law and policy.  Marvit has written numerous law review articles on administrative law, civil rights, labor and employment, and is the co-author of the book, Why Labor Organizing has been a Civil Right.  His works have also appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The New Republic, The Nation, Slate, and elsewhere.  Marvit has a BA in philosophy from Penn State, an AM in Political Science from The University of Chicago, an MA in labor history from Carnegie Mellon University, and a JD from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
