Biography

Professor Strope has over 20 years of financial services experience. Prior to joining UBS Financial Services Inc., he served as a senior loan officer for a local mortgage company. His wealth of business experience provides clients with knowledge about the debt side of their balance sheets, and he is actively involved in the investment management as well as the financial and estate planning side of the team’s practice.

Professor Strope is named to the Barron’s top 1200 list, recognizing him as one of the top financial advisors in America for 10 consecutive years (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019) in addition to being named to the On Wall Street’s ‘Top 40 Under 40’ list as well as Wirehouse Magazine.com’s ‘Top 40 Wirehouse Advisors Under 40’ in 2015.  He has earned the prestigious CFP® designation from the College for Financial Planning.  Peter holds Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses, as well as life and health insurance licenses.  He also holds an Executive Certificate in financial planning from Duquesne University and has his Charted Advisor of Philanthropy designation.  Peter is a member of the distinguished Pittsburgh Estate Planning Council.
