Steven Seel, Esquire

Adjunct Professor of Law

Biography

After earning his J.D. in 1992 from Pitt Law, Steve Seel practiced law on a full-time basis, concentrating his practice on estate planning for business owners and high net worth families and litigation involving estates and trusts.  Steve’s clients have included family entities (like limited partnerships), auto dealerships, tech businesses, manufacturing businesses, distributorships, real estate developers, and professional practices.  Working with families in succession planning leads naturally to general corporate, real estate, and business transactional matters.  Steve has represented beneficiaries and fiduciaries in probate and trust administration-related litigation and federal estate tax audit litigation.  Steve has also worked with plaintiffs’ attorneys on some of the largest injury verdicts and settlements to minimize —and often eliminate -- estate and gift tax consequences to the families involved.

Steve is currently a Senior Vice President at Huntington National Bank where he works as a Senior Wealth Strategist and continues to counsel high net worth families.

When he’s not practicing law, Steve can be found playing guitar on various stages in and around Pittsburgh and is also an active audio engineer and music producer.
