Pitt Law Graduate Daniel Muessig (’12) Becomes Viral Sensation With Comedic Criminal Defense Attorney Commercial
Pitt Law graduate Daniel Muessig (’12) created a humorous YouTube video advertising his criminal defense attorney services which quickly went viral for its acerbic wit and honesty. The video features Muessig’s friends playing the part of criminals in the process of committing various crimes and presents Muessig as an attorney with street knowledge on how to best represent his clients. “Trust me, I may have a law degree, but I think like a criminal. Street knowledge,” Muessig says in the video.
As of March 27, the video has over 200,000 views on YouTube and has received a myriad of comments, some positive and some of which question Muessig’s frank portrayal of a criminal defense attorney’s potential clients. Before attending Pitt Law, Muessig started off as an experimental rap artist and still tours and performs regularly under his Dos Noun moniker on top of his duties at a downtown Pittsburgh practice.
