Faculty advisors have been assigned to all JD students and can be viewed on PeopleSoft in your Student Services Center tab. Except for the first semester of your first year, you are required to meet, virtually or in person, with your faculty advisor once each semester and have your advisor sign a designated form available on Docusign. Failure to complete the form will mean that an ADV hold will be placed on your account and you will not be able to register for the next semester’s classes. In order to facilitate the meetings between advisors and advisees, the Vice Dean will designate a days during each semester as “Student Advising Day(s)” when students and faculty should plan to meet, unless they mutually prefer a different date. The purpose of the program is to allow faculty to be more closely engaged with individual students, to make sure that they are on target for graduation, are taking classes that will help achieve their own career objectives, and are in a good position to pass the bar.
