Training and Documentation

The following information will assist you in setting in-person classes via Zoom. Zoom web conferencing may be used to set up synchronous online class meetings with your students directly through Canvas. All rooms follow this guide except for our Courtroom.  Our Courtroom is enrolled in the Flex@Pitt program. If you are teaching in the Courtroom, you should follow the instructions set forth on the Flex@Pitt program website.

Read our Quick Setup Guide to expedite and easily disseminate connection information to your students. This guide leverages your Pitt credentials with a fast Canvas setup with Zoom enabled. This allows students to easily see your meetings and view recordings after.

Setting Up Zoom in the Classroom

Dean Amy Wildermuth demonstrates below configuring how to use Zoom on the classroom computers with the room technology. This documentation also outlines the use of the entire room including using the projector and logging on the computer.

Note: Please be sure to log off the computer when you are done. This allows the next user to use the technology in the room.

Print the documentation to take with you.
