All job postings for Pitt Law students and alumni are located on PittLawWorks, a comprehensive online job posting and web-based recruiting system.

Externships

Students may earn up to four credits for unpaid legal work performed for a judge, government agency or public interest organization. View a password protected online database of past externship sites on the Extranet. Students may secure externships during the school year or summer and choose 2 separate externships to maximize exposure to different practice areas or sectors. Each credit hour requires 52 hours of work, for a maximum of four credits. For more information, please contact Assistant Dean of Students.

Semester in Washington DC-Externship Program

Students have the opportunity to spend a semester in D.C. working for a non-profit or government agency, earning 13 law school credits. If you would like to work in D.C. or in any public policy-related position after graduation, this program offers the opportunity to make contacts and gain intensive, hands-on experience in your field of interest. For more information please see the Semester in DC -Externship Program.

Intercollegiate Job Bank 

Pitt Law participates in the alumni "Intercollegiate Job Bank" maintained by Brigham Young University Law School. The Intercollegiate Job Bank contains the alumni job postings from a large number of law schools throughout the country.
