The Center for Bioethics & Health Law brings together clinicians, scholars, and investigators from many schools and disciplines across the University to investigate issues in bioethics and health law by employing empirical, philosophical, and legal research methods.

Center for International Legal Education

The Center for International Legal Education (CILE) at Pitt Law exists to advance legal education and the rule of law, both at the School and throughout the world. Our work includes programs for Pitt Law JD students, LLM, SJD, and Visiting Scholar programs for foreign-trained lawyers and academics, and outreach to the legal profession both at home and abroad.

Hickton Center for Community Legal Services & Clinical Legal Education

Law school and reality meet head on in Pitt Law’s in-house legal clinics. Under the supervision of full-time faculty who are practicing attorneys, you will wrestle as a lawyer with legal and ethical issues involving real people. Students are eligible to enroll in a legal clinic beginning in the second semester of their second year of law school.

Future Law Project

Pitt Law’s Future Law Project connects students with entrepreneurs, trains new lawyers to partner with innovators, and teaches lawyers to be innovators.

Institute for Cyber Law, Policy, & Security

Pitt Cyber provides a unique interdisciplinary environment for tackling cyber challenges. We bring the breadth of one of the world’s leading public research universities to bear on the critical questions of networks, data, and algorithms, with a focus on the ever-changing gaps among law, policy, and technology. Our collective of legal, policy, and technical researchers engages with policymakers and industry to create both actionable proposals to address current demands and fundamental insights to understand the future as it arrives.
