3L Nicholas Williams Wins 2nd Place in American Agricultural Law Association Student Writing Competition

Pitt Law 3L Nicholas Williams has earned second place in the 2024 American Agricultural Law Association (AALA) Student Writing Competition with his paper on farm credit. The paper, which examines the lending practices of the Farm Credit System and the resulting impacts on American farmers, was written for a spring 2024 seminar on Law, Capitalism, and Distributive Justice taught by Prof. John Linarelli.

The AALA’s annual contest encourages law students to engage with agricultural law by addressing modern legal issues in the field. This recognition highlights Williams' dedication to agricultural law scholarship and the Pitt Law community's commitment to advancing legal research in diverse areas.
