You’ve decided you’re ready to join the next generation of practice-ready lawyers and leaders at Pitt Law: Now all that’s left to do is apply.

You may apply for the Pitt Law JD program between September 1 and April 1. We’ll only consider applications for the current year beginning fall semester and for full-time, three-year enrollment. You are required to submit your application online through the Law School Admission Council. (Please see the additional requirements for international applicants and transfer/visiting students.)

Pitt Law is highly competitive, and we base admissions decisions on many factors. Our admissions committee will carefully evaluate your graduate work, professional experience, and undergraduate GPA and make a decision on a rolling basis, or you may request a priority decision within 14 business days.

Qualifications for Admission to the Bar:
In addition to a bar examination, there are character, fitness, and other qualifications for admission to the bar in every U.S. jurisdiction. Applicants are encouraged to determine the requirements for any jurisdiction in which they intend to seek admission by contacting the jurisdiction. Addresses for all relevant agencies are available through the National Conference of Bar Examiners.
