Pitt Law is highly competitive, and we base admissions decisions on many factors. Our admissions committee will carefully evaluate your graduate work, professional experience, and undergraduate GPA and make a decision on a rolling basis.
Admissions Process
Admission applications for the Pitt Law JD program will be accepted starting September 1 through our deadline of May 1. Applications are considered only for the current year for the fall semester. Review our official admissions policy and learn more about the admissions process.
Apply to Pitt Law
Our application for JD admission is available online with the assistance of the Law School Admission Council (LSAC). Upon completion of the application, carefully follow the submission instructions for the application and the non-refundable $65 application fee.
The Office of Admissions and Financial Aid will notify applicants by e-mail when their application has been received. Find information on how to check your application status.
Tuition and Financial Aid
The tuition rates and fees for the University of Pittsburgh School of Law are adjusted each year based on recommendations from the University Board of Trustees. These tuition rates and fees are announced in July. View current tuition and fees.
