Thank you for your interest in the JD Program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. To apply to Pitt Law's JD program, you must create an account and log into the LSAC portal. The non-refundable application fee is $65.

Application Status

Upon receipt of their application, applicants will receive an email notification from the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. To check the status of your application, please refer to the Applicant Online Status Page, as all decisions will be posted there. Pitt Law operates on a rolling admissions basis and it may take several weeks to receive a decision. We ask for your patience throughout the admission cycle, which may be longer during key times of the year. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Eligibility

To apply for admission to Pitt Law's JD program, you need to have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or anticipate graduating during the current academic year. If you are a student from the University of Pittsburgh Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences, University of Pittsburgh College of Business Administration, The Commonwealth University, Carlow University, Robert Morris University, or Washington and Jefferson College, you may be eligible to apply for our Accelerated Law Admissions Program (ALAP). ​
