Election Integrity in 2026: Facts, Myths, and the Fight for Trust
This program will focus on the November 3 general election and how states have been preparing to carry out their responsibilities within the nation's decentralized system. The discussion will explore mail-in voting and ballot security, potential interference, post-election reviews conducted across all states, and other safeguards that ensure accurate results and strengthen public trust.
The CLE program has been approved by the Pennsylvania CLE Board for one (1) hour of substantive credit. Except for Pitt Law faculty and staff, there is a fee of $30 for those seeking CLE credits.

Trial Tactics: The Lightning Round
Pitt Law, along with their co-sponsor, The Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and the ACBA, will offer a special two-hour CLE which, quite appropriate to the occasion, will focus on trial tactics. Titled, “The Lightning Round”, this program, which is open to all members of the Bar, will feature a fast-paced discussion of key strategy and tactical issues that arise during trial. This CLE is ideal for any litigator looking to improve or refresh their courtroom skills.
Immediately after the program, The University of Pittsburgh School of Law is holding a special recognition event, and reception to honor John P. Gismondi for his 40 consecutive years of teaching Trial Advocacy to our students.
The CLE program has been approved by the Pennsylvania CLE Board for two (2) hours of substantive credit. Except for Pitt Law faculty and staff, there is a fee of $60 for those seeking CLE credits. There is no charge for the Gismondi recognition event.

Roslyn M. Litman Endowed Professor of Law in Civil Liberties Investiture & Symposium
The University of Pittsburgh School of Law will be hosting a symposium honoring the life of Roz Litman (Law ’52). This symposium will feature experts from various legal fields who will discuss the first amendment, women’s rights and LGBTQ+ rights. Following the symposium, the investiture of the inaugural Roslyn M. Litman Endowed Professor of Law in Civil Liberties will be held.
The program kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with opening remarks. The panel presentations begin at 8:45 a.m., followed by the investiture at 2:15 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
This program has been approved by the Pennsylvania CLE board for 1 hour of substantive credit and 2 hours of ethics credit. There is a fee of $90 for those seeking CLE credits. The program is free to Pitt Law faculty, staff, students and those not seeking CLE credit.
