Pitt Law students and alumni frequently work in JD Advantage positions which leverage their legal education, but do not require formal bar admission. JD Advantage roles exist in both the private and public sectors, as employers in emerging and traditional fields seek talent who possess the unique foundational skills associated with a law degree. The PDO counsels students and alumni in all aspects of the non-traditional job search, via group presentations/programs, individual meetings, and specifically developed materials.
