Mark Bernstein

Interim Co-Director, Barco Law Library, Professor of Law

Mark Bernstein joins Pitt In 2021 as the Interim Co-Director of the Barco Law Library where he will teach Foundations of Legal Research.  Mark retired from Drexels Kline School of Law after serving ten years as Director of the Legal Research Center.  He spent 33 years in academic law libraries including Columbia University, Duke University, Saint Louis University and Drexel.
Mark remains a member of the American Association of Law Libraries and received the AALL Spectrum article of the year in 2008 for “One Size Fits All No More:  The Impact of Law Specialization on Library Services.  He was Co-Chair of the 2011 AALL annual meeting’s local arrangement in Philadelphia.
