Rogelio Avelar-Rivera (JD '26)

Academic Interests: Immigration Law, Litigation, Corporate Law, Contract Law 
Pitt Law Favorites: The accessibility of Forbes Avenue is convenient in between the large gaps in your 1L schedule, 3rd floor library, 2nd floor study patio, and the Rent-A-Center in the library for all your electronic needs. The environment is welcoming, but the administration is beyond helpful regardless of needing advice or an ear to listen. 
Fun Facts: Rogelio is big into travel and has visited Canada, Germany, Greece, and Mexico on several occasions. He also enjoys getting a day pass and visiting different gyms around the city.

Lauren Best (JD '26) 

Hometown: Scranton, PA
Academic Interests: Employment Law, Transactional Law, Financial Law, Digital Innovation
Pitt Law Favorites: Before joining Pitt Law First Class where I have been able to bond with other first generation law students and become a 1L Representative. Additionally, becoming an active member of the Pitt Law Women's Association which helped me assimilate into life at law school and develop mentor relationships.
Fun Facts: Lauren loves baking and interior design. When she was younger, she helped her parents flip a house. She has also started a social media account where she shares some of her recipes and baked goods with her friends and family.

Johanna Bezjak (JD '26)

Pitt Law Favorites: Dean Allie's office, PDO networking events, and how Pitt Law faculty/staff go above and beyond to support their students.
Fun Facts: Johanna likes to visit different Costco locations when she travels and has been to stores in Hawaii and England. 

Genevieve Brittingham (JD '26)

Pitt Law Favorites: Hiding out in a study room in the library, getting to know all of my classmates, the Starbucks on Forbes Avenue, and Dean Allie's snack cabinet
Fun Facts: Genevieve was an All-American softball outfielder at Wellesley College.

Mackenzie Damon (JD '26) 

Hometown: Pittsburgh, PA
Academic Interests: Labor and Employment, Public Interest, Litigation
Pitt Law Favorites: Hanging out with classmates on G, Professor Linarelli's Contracts class, PDO networking opportunities, and the Dunkin across the street.
Fun Facts: Mackenzie worked for two years at the Ohio House of Representatives before law school. She was also the president of her a cappella group during undergrad.

Bailey Glasscock (JD '26)

Pitt Law Favorites: The sense of community in the building, it doesn't feel like you are competing against everyone like other law schools. THe professors are extremely friendly and appraochable as well.  
Fun Facts: This year is my first time living outside of VA.

Pitt Law Favorites: The very supportive, friendly classmates and professors here, and free admission to every major museum in the city.
Fun Facts: Angela loves going to concerts and has seen Billy JOel, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, and many more!

Krina Patel (JD '26)

Pitt Law Favorites: The first table facing the windows on the fourth floor of Barco's Law Library, eating lunch with wonderful friends between classes, and the incredibly supportive environment/faculty.
Fun Facts: Krina loves reading fiction novels, especially rom-coms and fantasy, and studied accounting and entrepreneurship at Northeastern University.

Danielle Redfield (JD '26)

Academic Interests: Health Law, Litigation
Pitt Law Favorites: The culture! Law school is scary enough, the community here at Pitt Law is warm, welcoming, and non-adversarial among peers. The professors and staff work extremely hard to make sure we know how much we belong here. There are so many student organizations to get involved with to find your village and carve your path here.
Fun Facts: I am a native American Sign Language user and read over 150 books in 2023.

Colin Uher (JD '26)

Hometown: Cranberry Township, PA
Academic Interests: Torts, litigation, property
Pitt Law Favorites: Fourth floor library Fawcett Room for its great view of the Cathedral and best lighting in the building, my classmates, and the super helpful faculty and staff, including administrators, PDO and the faculty.
Fun Facts: Colin was Pitt's mascot, Roc, through all of his undergraduate years. He is always open to discuss Star Wars, sports, and video games among other topics.
