Advising Support

Each student is assigned a full-time faculty member to serve as an advisor. Faculty advisors counsel students on planning their academic and professional careers.

Curricular planning informational material provided in the spring offer first-year students information and advice on mapping their upper-level courses and activities and the opportunity to learn about the paths and experiences of practicing lawyers in several practice areas and settings.  Several virtual and in person information sessions and workshops throughout the year introduce students to the academic programs and opportunities available at Pitt Law, including joint degree programs, certificate programs, externships (both local and international), clinical programs, and more.
