The Barco Law Library is open during regular library hours for Pitt Law faculty and students only.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are not open to Pitt users outside of Pitt Law; and we are not open to the public.

Barco Law Building Hours

The Barco Law Building offers dynamic opportunities for a wide array of events. From receptions, to conferences, and workshops, panel discussions and small meetings, spaces in the Barco Law Building are available to University of Pittsburgh faculty, staff and students and other outside organizations. Priority will be given to requests that align with the Law School's mission.

Please see the hours below for the building. If you need the hours extended for your event, please submit an extension request using the online form below. 

  • Main Building (Lobby front and back entrances plus Bouquet side entrance only)
    • Monday through Thursday: 7:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
    • Friday: 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
    • Saturday: CLOSED
    • Sunday: Noon-8:00 p.m.
  • Barco Terrace
    • Monday through Thursday: 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
    • Friday: 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
    • Saturday: CLOSED
    • Sunday: CLOSED
  • Library 
    • Monday through Wednesday: 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
    • Thursday and Friday  8:00 am - 5:00 pm
    • Saturday: CLOSED
    • Sunday: Noon-8:00 p.m. 
    • Law students only will have swipe access to the 4th floor of the library between closing time and midnight, Sunday - Thursday.
